On March 22nd, hear how State of Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) is virtualizing its 1,500 desktops with VMware View and Unidesk. The DODD's deployment is unique in that it represents 98% of the agency's desktops. Through the combination of VMware View and Unidesk, the IT department will be able to quickly deliver any application and preserve all user customizations to satisfy even the most difficult use cases.

Kipp Bertke, Information Technology Manager at Ohio DODD, will discuss why the agency is moving to VDI, what challenges they faced, and how they decided upon their solution. Also participating on the webinar will be Matt Honigford, Technical Account Manager at VMware, and Ron Oglesby, Chief Solution Architect at Unidesk.

Attendees of the webinar will learn how the DODD is leveraging the latest desktop virtualization technologies to:

  • Reduce desktop operational costs through centralized desktop management;
  • Cut energy costs and improve worker mobility with desktops that can be accessed through any PC or “green” thin client;
  • Satisfy all use cases, including knowledge workers who need persistent desktops that keep their customizations;
  • Package and deliver the wide range of applications required by DODD's diverse workforce;
  • Minimize storage requirements to reduce TCO without impacting desktop flexibility or the user experience.
