Summer Visits Unidesk: Lizards, Boats, and Ice Cream, Oh My!

What a day! The Unidesk summer outing took place yesterday under a bright sky at one of my favorite local spots: Kimball Farm, home of some of the best ice cream in New England.

Our computers shutdown and our minds temporarily switched off from virtual desktop management, the team and their families gathered under the big-top for a delicious cookout and homemade ice cream sundae bar. The kids spent hours jumping and sliding through a massive blow-up bounce house (Dave was able to keep his title of fastest bounce-racer since there wasn’t a 2-lane racetrack like last year), and the adventuresome among us tried to bumper-boat-splash each other until we were soaked through and through.

A great magician kept many of us entranced, to me, however, as amusing as the magician (who made one of our little ones magically multiply objects) was hearing how hard some of the guys were laughing at his very … dry humor. (It cracks me up just thinking of it).

Our team was also treated to a wild-animal show, where some brave kids and adults held alligators, massive snakes, lizards, and other exotic species.

In the end, though, far better than the locale, shows, and games, was the camaraderie. We have such an outstanding team, genuinely fabulous people, all working together to build not just a great product, but a great company.

Thanks to all of you for making it a wonderful afternoon!
