Wrapping Up a Great 2008 - Literally

This morning, I returned to my office after having been away for a few days over Christmas.  I was surprised to find my desk overflowing with many wonderful gifts.

I was reminded of the joys of giving, and how even the simplest things can bring happiness and wonder to those around you. With my creative, thoughtful colleagues, how could I have forgotten?

All tightly wrapped in green paper were:

• a phone, programmed with my exact speed-dial list
• a flat screen monitor with my resolution preset
• a comfy chair, already set to my size
• a stapler, much like the unique cow one I used to have
• a keyboard and mouse set to sync up with my laptop.

My co-workers are such generous people.

PS In the nature of fairness, I have to admit I may have deserved some of this clever ribbing, or, given today's experience, perhaps I should say "ribbon-ing."
