Can we use Unidesk without VMware View, or should we use both?
It depends on your requirements. Some of our customers use Unidesk to provision easy-to-manage, personal, and storage-efficient virtual desktops, and then use Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection (RDC), free with Microsoft Windows, to give users access to the Unidesk desktops. Other customers who need more advanced features such as a higher performance protocol, advanced peripheral support, and desktop pools use a connection broker such as VMware View Enterprise with Unidesk. And other customers whose end users need to run different versions of the same application at the same time use VMware View Premier – which includes VMware ThinApp application virtualization technology – with Unidesk.
