You showed the Google plug-in surviving the Windows patch. What about full apps that users install (not plug-ins) – does Unidesk capture those too?

Yes. Unidesk captures all user changes, including plug-ins that users install on top of IT-packaged and delivered applications (e.g. Google Toolbar, WebEx and GotoMeeting clients, Word document prep plug-ins) as well as fresh, new applications that users install from scratch. All of these user changes “live” within each user’s personalization layer that is separate from the IT-managed application and O/S layers. No matter what changes or patches IT makes to the underlying layers, the personalization layers will persist.
